You are
looking to purchase one great vehicle. I'm a 4th owner of
this beautiful BMW, but owners 2 and 3 were father and son
in the same family. This vehicle is in very good shape. It
has been owned for most of its life by a dentist who drove
it 10 miles to work and back. It was a Certified
Pre-Owned car purchased from a BMW dealer, and as such
serviced exclusively at BMW until CPO expired.
Carbon Black is one of the best colors BMW ever came up
with. It is not quite black – it is dark blue, almost like
metallic ink color. It does look black if not under direct
light. Together with black Shadowline trim and 19"
CSL-Style ///M3 Competition package wheels, this
is one strikingly beautiful coupe.
There are few flaws on the exterior of the car, as expected
from a vehicle that has been driven.
There is a fair amount of paint chips on the hood/front
portion of the fenders, few small chips on the windshield
(nothing serious, no cracks), few tiny marks and scratches -
normal wear from driving, really. I wouldn't even mention
that, but I want full disclosure.
Front bumper has been resprayed (while I owned the car) not
due to any accident, but to get rid of the chips and
scrapes, but it has been a year since, so it has acquired
some new ones, but still looks very presentable overall. I
have also invested a good amount of money into PDR, so every
single dent on the car was taken out - it is completely dent
free!
Overall, body & paint is in great shape, and it has been
hand washed, clayed, polished and waxed regularly. I have
done full Stage I paint correction few months ago and paint
looks amazing and shines beautifully. The car has never been
in any collision of any kind, and all panels have its
original factory paint and matching VIN numbers on them. I
hope pictures show that. 9/10 easily.
3.2 Liter, 333 bhp Inline-6
engine with is one of the best BMW engines ever made.
Many awards. Silky smooth acceleration. Gobs of power.
I have replaced a bunch of small items under the hood
and around the car. Emblems, logos, worn rubber gaskets
and seals, faded trim, etc. Even under the hood, it
looks clean and great! Obviously, no mechanical problems
of any kind. Mechanically the car is absolutely sound
with no issues whatsoever.

This car is also loaded:
Ventilated brake disks with
Dynamic Brake Control and ABS
Dynamic Stability Control
and Traction Control systems, Cruise control,
Front and side airbags,
front head protection system (HPS)
Bi-Xenon Headlights with
height control (headlights adjust to different road
levels)
Rain Sensing Wipers (turn
on automatically when they sense the rain on windshield),
etc
All the usual goodies that come with modern
BMW cars.
NAV Screen has been replaced with a brand new Alpine
unit due to dreaded missing pixels and it is absolutely
perfect now - not a single pixel is missing, all nice,
clean and bright. Anti-glare coating is also intact on
the screen. Knobs are in good shape. I'm OCD, I know.

There are couple of other points I'd like to
mention. Wheels do not have any curb rash, but they
are not perfect. There are couple of ever-so-slight
dings on two of the rims.
They are straight and true. All tires have been
replaced about literally 200 miles ago, and are brand
new all around (see pictures). I have also done a
4-wheel alignment after I changed the tires. Goes
straight and smooth. Brakes are good, pads have plenty
of life.

INTERIOR

Interior is immaculate, for
the age/miles. And don't get me wrong, there IS wear,
but this is a 13-year old vehicle with 150K+ miles. It
is immaculate, considering.
It has not been that way when I got the car though. I
spent quite a few dollars and replaced many things in
the interior for it to look that way. All soft-touch
panels were replaced with new, original BMW pieces. New
snifter knob, new armrest, new steering wheel trim, new
floormats, central console, many others.
This vehicle is equipped with 12-way adjustable power
sports seats, upholstered in beautiful, supple Cinnamon
Nappa leather. The leather condition is good. There are
some wear on the drivers' seat, mostly on seat cushion
and bolsters, more on the entry bolster, but some on the
inside too. There are couple of cracks in the leather
that I was not able to fix with lots and lots of
Leatherique. But they are very character cracks :) Gives
the car that patina... Rest of the leather is mostly
good, some very minimal wear. I would give leather a
strong 8/10 rating.
In my opinion, this is one of the best BMW
leather color since Caramel - it suits the car extremely
well. This color combination of Cinnamon and Carbon
Black is extremely beautiful and very sought after.
Gunmetal trim gives it a very classy look without being
over the top.

This vehicle is very clean inside and out.
Never smoked in, never had any food or drinks (except
bottled water) inside.
No weird smells, never had anything nasty (vomit, etc)
happen in it. Headliner is clean, moonroof works perfect.
All electronics, devices, switches, knobs,
buttons, instruments and gauges work as they should.
There are no missing or broken buttons or levers.
There is some wear, particularly around window
regulators and door handles, few scratches around
ignition lock, but nothing more than regular wear and
tear.

Steering wheel shows some wear, but its not
terribly bad - leather is not worn, just starting to
gloss-up a bit on the top.
Overall, interior is in VERY GOOD shape. Please
judge by yourself - plenty of pictures provided. 9/10
for sure.

Trunk is very clean as well - no stains or wear.
Full original toolkit included, as well as air
compressor with goo-can (M-Mobility kit), tow hooks,
etc.

I have two keys plus valet plastic key, but
one of the keys is uncut (don't ask me why, previous
owner gave it to me like that). All paperwork, manuals,
and all accessories that came with the car. I even have
original purchase contract, but sadly, no sticker!

In addition, I have a lot of service
documentation and service history on the car since from
previous owned and myself. Since this was a CPO car, a
lot of records available from
any BMW dealership.

This is one
VERY nice, well documented, turn-key car.
You owe it to yourself to take a look at it in person if
you are looking to buy an E46 M3 Coupe.
The car has no mechanical issues and is
ready to drive anywhere.
No VANOS issues, no subframe issues, no SMG issues, no
rod bearings issues (see Blackstone report below).

The car has some miles on it, but most are highway, and
the condition of the car is better than most with half
the miles.
This is a well-maintained, very well cared-for, and
documented car.

One more thing to note for potential buyers:
I have sold 7 personal cars over the last 8
years, and I have always
sold them to the first person who looked at the car in
person.
I take really good care of my cars.
Free and clear TX title in hand.

Now for the best part - the price. This was an
$60K car when it was new.
I think the price I'm listing it for is fair for the
condition - but feel free to make an offer after you
look at the car, or feel that
it is worth less than that - I'm a reasonable
person, and after all, I do want to sell it. I do not
have to sell it, however, and I'm relatively firm on the
price.
You can buy a new Honda Civic, or this - for about the
same price.
